A rooftop sniper guns down 14 pedestrians on the streets of New York City. A mild-mannered dad takes a shotgun and blows away his wife and children. A cop goes on a sudden shooting spree at the St. Patrick's Day Parade. And each of these unlikely killers makes the same dying confession: "God told me to." Now a repressed Catholic NYPD detective (Tony Lo Bianco of THE HONEYMOON KILLERS and THE FRENCH CONNECTION) must uncover a netherworld of deranged faith, alien insemination and his own unholy connection to a homicidal messiah with a perverse plan for the soul of mankind. Written, produced and directed by Larry Cohen (Q - THE WINGED SERPENT), this critically acclaimed cult classic remains one of the most disturbing and thought-provoking horror films of our time. Deborah Raffin (DEATH WISH 3), Sandy Dennis (WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?), Sylvia Sidney (BEETLEJUICE), Mike Kellin (SLEEPAWAY CAMP), Richard Lynch (BAD DREAMS), and Andy Kaufman (TAXI) co-star in this one-of-a-kind chiller, now featuring a brand-new 4K High Definition transfer from the original uncensored negative along with exclusive new Extras created especially for this release! Vic's lunatic behavior has Earl running in circles while Ramona's coarse seductiveness leaves him panting. In short, Earl's tranquil life is suddenly turned upside down. Set in Dublin (a rather surprising giallo setting), Iguana opens audaciously with an acid-throwing, razor-wielding maniac brutally slaying a woman in her own home. The victim's mangled corpse is discovered in a limousine owned by Swiss Ambassador Sobiesky (Anton Diffring, Where Eagles Dare) and a police investigation is launched, but when the murdering continues and the ambassador claims diplomatic immunity, tough ex-cop John Norton (Luigi Pistilli, A Bay of Blood) is brought in to find the killer... Benefitting from a sumptuous score by Stelvio Cipriani (Nightmare City, Death Walks on High Heels) and exuberant supporting performances from Valentina Cortese (The Possessed, Thieves' Highway) and Dagmar Lassander (The Frightened Woman, The Black Cat), The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire is a luridly over-the-top latter-day entry in the filmography of acclaimed director Riccardo Freda (Caltiki - The Immortal Monster, Murder Obsession). An archetypal giallo from the genre's heyday, Freda's film is presented here in a stunning new restoration with a host of newly produced extras. In a bracing, tour-de-force performance, Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton plays Eva, a mother contending with the increasing malevolence of her baby boy-turned-teenager Kevin (Ezra Miller). Academy Award nominee John C. Reilly is the eternally optimistic husband and father, blind to the devastating dynamic around them. Based on the best-selling novel, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN is masterfully constructed entirely from Eva's perspective, exploring nature vs. nurture on a disturbing new level as Eva's culpability is measured against Kevin's depravity. With a haunting score by Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) and Ramsay's signature visual style, the film's moral ambiguity and unforgettable climax will have people talking about Kevin for years to come. In the mid-21st century, humankind has been forced to look to colonising other planets as a means of combating overcrowding on Earth - their first stop, Mars. With a population of cockroaches having been introduced on Mars some 500 years prior to help prepare the way for human colonization, a manned mission sets out to the red planet with the aim of clearing away the bugs. Upon arrival, however, they discover that the roaches have evolved to huge, vicious creatures capable of wielding weapons. A gang of young slacker guys (the Gakis) idle away their time just hanging out, their sole passion in life being elaborate karaoke recreations of their favorite Showa-era songs (oldies from the 40s to the 80s). Across town, a group of thirty-something divorced women calling themselves the Midoris do much the same thing, until one of the Gakis kills a Midori after he’s rejected trying to pick her up. The Midoris retaliate, and the absurdist battle of revenge is on, with weapons escalating from knives to guns and eventually to rocket launchers and beyond. A pitch-black comedy of violence filled with rage at the status quo and a seething impatience for the ordinary, KARAOKE TERROR captures the angst and spiritual restlessness of two very different generations, both abandoned by society and seeking payback with apocalyptic results. In Larraz's debut feature, the hitherto ultra-rare Whirlpool (1970), Vivian Neves stars as Tulia, a young model invited to a photographer's secluded country home for what purports to be a quiet weekend retreat - but soon transpires to be anything but. 1974's Vampyres - perhaps the best known and most widely-released of all José Larraz's films - sees a duo of blood hungry female vampires prowling the British countryside, from where they lure unsuspecting male motorists back to their imposing, dilapidated mansion for draining... in more ways than one. Meanwhile, in 1978's The Coming of Sin (La Visita del Vicio, in its native Spanish), a young gypsy girl experiences a violent sexual awakening as her dreams of a naked young man on horseback become reality. By turns terrifying, titillating, artful and scandalous, these three films collected here - all newly restored from original film elements, with Whirlpool and The Coming of Sin making their Blu-ray world premieres - collectively offer film fans a unique perspective on the fascinating, highly-varied career of one of the horror genre's most overlooked auteurs. Labeled as an ozploitation film, Tony Williams's slow burn feels a little classier than most with the ozploitation moniker attached to it. The film takes its influences from classic euro horror and gothic setups more than the shocking nature of many exploitation films. When Linda’s mother passes away she inherits the old family home, a looming mansion that has been doubling as an old folk’s home for decades. As Linda begins to settle in, she finds it hard to adapt to the eerie setting. There is seemingly a strange, lingering, emotional torment in the house that ties into her childhood. After one of the residents dies in a bathtub and another suffers from a stroke, she begins to suspect something is amiss. Her strange dreams only help amplify her uneasiness and soon questions begin to come up. Was her mother of sound mind? What actually happened to her aunt? Did the staff have anything to do with the deaths? And lastly, is she of sound mind, herself? Visually, Next of Kin looks great; the location and atmosphere help immensely with the looming dread. The camera work is a highlight using early steady cam to mimic tracking shots. The film is sprinkled with long one takes that linger and show the audience the story. Although Next of Kin doesn’t rely on violence, the suddenness of it in the film is quite alarming and effective. The set ups and pay offs in the film's climax are well thought out and never forced. In fact the twist is such a surprise that it takes maybe a second or two too long to register. Adding a scene or two could have helped branch the middle to the end; a deeper look into mental illness of the family lineage or even a moment or two with the film's antagonist, but it would be at the risk of the film’s mystery. Next of Kin has plentiful features including two commentary tracks, a House Of Psychotic Women Intro By Kier-La Janisse for Morbido TV, Extended Interviews from Not Quite Hollywood, Return to Monteclare: Location Revisit, 2018, and some not filmed Deleted Scenes. The release looks and sounds top notch and is a nice addition to anyone’s collection that enjoys slow burn horror films with some genuine atmosphere. Product Description: It’s been hailed as “skin-crawlingly real” (Horror News), “a jaw-dropping achievement” (Moon In The Gutter) and “a giallo that rivals Argento’s DEEP RED” (Scary Minds), yet has remained largely unseen in America. Now experience “one of the greatest horror movies of the 20th Century” (Goomba Stomp) for the first time ever…and like never before: When a young woman inherits a creaky retirement home, she’ll find herself in a waking nightmare of murder, madness and a legacy of evil that may be inescapable. Jackie Kerin, John Jarratt (WOLF CREEK) and Alex Scott (ROMPER STOMPER) star in this “stylish and creepy must-see” (The Digital Fix) – featuring an intense synth score by Klaus Schulze of Tangerine Dream – now transferred from original Australian vault elements and packed with all-new Special Features. When she discovers a smuggling ring run by a drug lord with his own personal army of deadly fighters, she must penetrate his evil lair and defeat not only his champion (Masashi Ishibashi from the Street Fighter films) but also a group of female Thai kickboxers called The Amazon Seven. Chiba appears in a cameo as a fellow karate master who helps Koryu in her mission. Released only three months later, the sequel Sister Street Fighter: Hanging By a Thread, once again follows Li Koryu as she investigates another smuggling ring, this time involving diamonds implanted into the derrieres of prostitutes! Teaming up with enigmatic fighter Tsubaki (Yasuaki Kurata), she once again calls upon her fighting skills to take down another round of colorful bad guys. The final film of the official trilogy, Return of the Sister Street Fighter, finds her back in Yokohama searching for a woman who has become the mistress of another crime kingpin. Kurata again co-stars but this time as a crazed fighter working for the villains who swears that he's the man who can kill Li Koryu. Genre entertainment of the highest order, the Sister Street Fighter films are a wild ride through some of the best exploitation cinema Japan produced in the 1970s. Funky and over-the-top, filled with wall-to-wall action, and featuring some of the craziest villains ever depicted onscreen, the series embodies female power in a male-dominated genre and is a magnificent showcase for the physical presence and martial arts skills of its lead star. Some took inspiration from the then-burgeoning crime thriller movement, with tales of organised crime and corrupt police officials... while others decided to sex things up by crossing serial killer thrills with salacious softcore antics. A spate of highly sexualized murders is rocking a prestigious Milanese fashion house. Ambitious photographer Magda (Edwige Fenech, Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key) and her on-off boyfriend, love rat Carlo (Nino Castelnuovo, The English Patient), team up to crack the case. But, with the motorcycle helmet-wearing killer clearing bearing a grudge against the agency's employees, it's surely only a matter of time before they too end up feeling the force of his wrath... So roll up for a Euro cult experience like no other, with kitschy fashion shoots, back alley abortions, blow-up sex dolls and some very indelicate humor, as one of the most notoriously sleazy gialli ever produced gets the red carpet treatment from Arrow Video! In an unnamed Eastern European capital, an iron-willed Cardinal (Academy Award®-winner Alec Guinness, The Ladykillers) is arrested by state police on charges of treason. Tasked with securing a confession from him by any means necessary is a former comrade-in-arms from the anti-Nazi resistance (Jack Hawkins, The Bridge on the River Kwai). Knowing the Cardinal will never fold under physical torture, the Interrogator instead sets out to destroy him mentally, breaking his spirit rather than his body. Adapted by acclaimed playwright Bridget Boland (Gaslight) from her own stage-play and showcasing powerhouse performances by two actors at the height of their game, The Prisoner is a tense, thought-provoking and disturbing drama about the endurance of the human spirit.
