"The Revenge of the Living Dead Girls" Blu-Ray Review (Severin Films)
In 1987, Parisian pornographers Pierre B. Reinhard and Jean-Claude Roy deviated from their usual high-end skin fare to instead create un cassoulet d’atrocités that remains most extreme French gore film in history: When a trio of vixens is killed by corporate-tainted milk, their nubile corpses will rise from the grave for a Jean-Rollin-meets-RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD orgy of depravity that DVD Drive-In calls “a fetishistic ode to blood, breasts and brutality.” Severin Films is très fier to present this long-unseen “grimy rhapsody of deviance” (Bleeding Skull) featuring graphic splatter by doomed FX master Benoît Lestang (THE WAX MAX, MARTYRS), now remastered in HD and spurting with all-new Special Features.

"Inferno of Torture" Blu-Ray Review (Arrow Films)
Exploitation legend Teruo Ishii (Horrors of Malformed Men, Orgies of Edo) delivers one of his most extreme visions of violent eroticism in this, the sixth in his abnormal love series. Tattoos and torture await women forced into servitude in Ishii's Inferno of Torture. Unable to repay a local lender, Yumi (Yumika Katayama) takes up an offer to serve as a geisha for two years with a promise of freedom once her debt is repaid. She quickly realizes that this is less a house of geishas than an extremely cruel brothel specializing in supplying western visitors with tattooed playthings. Taken under the wing of one of the leading tattoo artists vying for a coveted spot in the Shogun's good graces through his work, Yumi's body becomes a battleground as a rival artist becomes determined not to lose his spot at the top. When the madam, Otatsu (Mieko Fujimoto) trains her eye on the blossoming relationship between the benevolent artist Horihide (Teruo Yoshida) and his model, she makes sure than her stay is less than hospitable, inspiring the torturous inferno of the title. Following Ishii's legendary Shogun's Joy of Torture and Orgies of Edo, the prolific filmmaker still manages to turn up the heat in this incredibly violent and salacious entry in a filmography unlike any other. From the film's opening scene depicting some of the most perverse violence ever captured on screen, through to the shock ending that will leave the audience's mouths agape, there's nothing quite like Inferno of Torture. Tender romance clashes with vile sadism as a sea of tattooed female flesh floods nearly every frame of this film depicting Japan's Edo period as only Ishii could.

"The Other Lamb" Blu-Ray Review (IFC Midnight)
For her entire life, the cult she was born into has been all that teenage Selah (Raffey Cassidy) has known. Along with a band of similarly cloistered young women she lives seemingly unstuck in time, cut off from modern society in a remote forest commune presided over by a man called Shepherd (Michiel Huisman), a controlling, messiah-like figure with a frightening dark side. But when her insular world is rocked by a series of nightmarish visions and disturbing revelations, Selah begins to question everything about her existence—including her allegiance to the increasingly dangerous Shepherd. Awash in images of primal, dreamlike dread, this provocative fable is a haunting vision of adolescent awakening and revolt.

Patreon Pick "Used Cars" Streaming Review
Director and co-writer Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the Back To The Future trilogy) is the engine behind Used Cars — the hilariously raunchy salute to those supersalesmen who'll offer lemons while putting the squeeze on you.
Rudy Russo (Kurt Russell, Escape from New York) has what it takes to be top salesman on Luke Fuchs' (Jack Warden) car lot — he's the most charming man who'll ever lie to you. Caught up in a feud between Luke and his brother/rival Roy L. Fuchs (also played by Warden), Rudy gears up for an all-out war. Employing his gifts of gab and grift — along with increasingly outlandish sales tactics — Rudy shifts the battle for sales supremacy into overdrive, turning the lot into a high-octane free-for-all!
Woefully underappreciated on its initial release, Used Cars has since become a cult favorite hailed for its trunkload of talent in front of and behind the camera, and its rich Corinthian laughter. So tell me: what can I do to get you into Used Cars today?

Patreon Pick "Fascination" Blu-Ray Review (Redemption Films)
FASCINATION is often described as a vampire film yet, like few other horror films, it is actually about blood fetishism. Set in 1905, the story concerns a group of aristocratic women who acquire more epicurean tastes after drinking ox's blood as a cure for anemia.
Some erotic component was usually imposed on Rollin by meddling producers, forcing him to add ill-fitting sex scenes into his productions, but here - more so than anywhere else in his filmography - the erotic scenes feel truly organic to the story. Due in large part to the sensuality and chemistry of Brigitte Lahaie (a popular Euro porn star in her second legitimate role for Rollin) and Franca Mai (subsequently a singer, producer-director of short films, web mogul and novelist), they are also classically lovely and legitimately erotic.
Playful, elegantly crafted and brimming with some of the most unforgettable images in his filmography, FASCINATION embodies Jean Rollin at his very best - venturing outside his usual comfort zones and extending the definition of his filmic universe in the process.

Patreon Pick "Deadgirl" Blu-Ray Review (Dark Sky Films)
Daringly original and genre-busting, Deadgirl is an odyssey into the soul of our alienated youth that takes the conventions of the horror and coming-of-age movies and turns them on their heads.
When high school misfits Rickie and JT decide to ditch school and find themselves lost in the crumbling facility of a nearby abandoned hospital, they come face-to-face with a gruesome discovery: a body of a woman – stripped naked, chained to a table and covered in plastic – and soon realize she is anything but dead. Quickly the boys find themselves embarking on a twisted yet poignant journey testing the limits of their friendship, and forces both to decide just how far they’re willing to stretch their understanding of right and wrong.
Deadgirl is a new genre classic and a no-holds-barred look at the horror of growing up. Starring Shiloh Fernandez (“Cadillac Records”), Noah Segan (“Brick”), Michael Bowen (“Kill Bill”) and Candice Accola (“Juno”).

A Run Through '91 "Scissors" Blu-Ray Review (Kino Lorber)
Mastered in HD! Angies about to step over the edge - all she need is a little help! Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct, Sliver) is electrifying as a woman driven to the edge of insanity in this taut psychological thriller from Frank De Felitta (The Entity, Z.P.G.). Stone plays Angie Anderson, a beautiful, emotionally fragile woman living alone in the big city. When she's attacked in her apartment building, she manages to thwart her assailant by stabbing him with a pair of scissors, but not before he vows to return. Angie's emotional state begins to weaken as she's overwhelmed by fears real and imagined. A handsome neighbor (Steve Railsback, The Stunt Man) and an esteemed psychologist (Ronny Cox, Deliverance) seem to want to help, but someone is leading Angie into a nightmare of madness and terror - and a final confrontation with her worst, long-repressed fears.
